Customers trust in CCI pays off

Walt Wyndroski, IT manager for Plant TiftNet, a digital cable, high speed Internet and digital telephone service provider in Tifton, Georgia, had a straightforward question: Were a couple cards in his line card chassis covered under the Smartnet contract he’d signed with another provider?

CCI obtained a copy of the contract and discovered the cards, though valid, were not covered. Walt asked CCI sales representative Terry Priddy to join in a call to Cisco customer service, asking for coverage. “I told customer service to add Terry’s CCO to my contract and give her full access to do whatever she wanted,” Walt says. “They asked if I understood what I was giving Terry. I told them I trusted her completely.”

Terry was able to get the cards added to the contract. Two months later, one of the cards failed—and because the cards were covered, Walt received a replacement in four days.

The result: Walt called CCI to tell us about the replacement, because, he says, “It’s only fair that customers also call with good news!”
