Local VA Hospital Benefits from CCI Employee Generosity
IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich., Dec 15, 2016 – CCI believes in sharing the spirit of giving this holiday season and with that enthusiasm, CCI Systems’ management and employees collected inter-office donations December 12th -14th to help benefit the “Paying It Forward” campaign initiated by CJ Graphics.
Brock Wallis of M.J. Electric, threw out the challenge to CCI’s CEO, John Jamar. John gladly accepted and with the help of CCI’s 500+ employees was able to raise $2,270 for the VA medical center in only three days.
CCI chose to “Pay it Forward” to the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center to support the following programs offered by the hospital:
- Butterfly Wish Program – Similar to a Make a Wish Program, the Hospice and Palliative Care team strives
to give Community Living Center and Home Based Primary Care patients an opportunity to make a wish come true.
- Holiday Programs – Supports patient programs for Veterans Day, Holiday Party, Memorial Day and Fourth of July.
The “Pay It Forward” campaign was started by CJ Graphics, a local print company, in the hopes of making a difference this holiday season.
“We want to remind people what this time of year is all about — giving and not receiving,” said Sharon Socia, outside salesperson at CJ Graphics.
CJ Graphics Pay it Forward initiative will run Dec. 1 through Dec. 31. Each participant who receives a mug will be challenged to Pay it Forward within 24 hours of receiving it. CJ Graphics will be sharing all those paying it forward on their Facebook page. Those who receive the most likes and comments will receive $250 from CJ’s to donate to the charity of their choice.
